Presentation: Cybersecurity Workforce Needs

We are excited to host Mr. Stephen Miller, who is the Director and tenured professor for the Cybersecurity Institute – ENMU-Ruidoso Branch Community College, a CAE2Y NSA/DHS designated institution.

Mr. Miller will be providing an interactive presentation relating the Apollo 13 Project Mission with the current demands for a qualified cybersecurity workforce, and looking at the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and credentials employers require of students entering the cybersecurity profession.  An overview of the current state of education and frameworks like the National Initiative in Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework and the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Center of Academic Excellence designation will be discussed.
